Histroy
The Chang Gung University was established in April 1987 as the Chang Gung Medical College, and at that time School of Medicine was established & had a mission of training outstanding medical personnel. The school began accepting students in post baccalaureate medicine in 1987, and 7-year medicine curriculum students in 1989, while stopping the admission for post baccalaureate medicine students in 1991. Following the nation’s medical education reform, the school began to recruit students to a new 6-year medicine curriculum. The Chang Gung University consists of the College of Medicine, College of Engineering, and College of Management. The School of Medicine currently has approximately 118 full-time and 544 part-time faculty members, and has 721 students enrolled.
